Nora Gieg Chatha is a Shareholder with Tucker Arensberg, P.C. Nora represents corporate fiduciary banks and trust companies, individuals, and healthcare providers in all areas of estate & trust planning, administration, and litigation.
Nora’s knowledge of Orphans’ Court practice and fiduciary duties aids her in providing comprehensive representation to her clients in a variety of complex situations. Nora’s prior experience as legal counsel for the Pennsylvania State Medicaid (Medical Assistance) Agency, the Department of Human Services (formerly Public Welfare), and status as a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation uniquely equip her to advise clients in asset protection, tax minimization, special needs, public benefits, elder law, long-term care, and end of life planning.
Nora is a frequent speaker for various local community advocacy, outreach and non-profit groups and fiduciary organizations including the Pennsylvania Bankers’ Association, the Fiduciary Education Foundation, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and the National Business Institute.
Nora is past president of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh. A member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Elder Law Committee she is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Nora has also served as an adjunct faculty member for Robert Morris University teaching Federal Estate & Gift Course for the MS in Taxation Program.
Nora is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (BA, summa cum laude) as well as the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (JD).
